Zaklin Jacoby was born and raised in Zagreb. After completing her studies at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, she accepted a full scholarship from the Education and Culture Committee of the Republic of Croatia to further her studies at the prestigious Prague Academy of Fine Arts. The recipient of numerous awards and acknowledgments, the promising young artist spent the next several years traveling and exhibiting her work throughout Europe before she set her sights on New York City in search of fresh inspiration. This new chapter in Zaklin’s life was a period of great advancement. She attended the time-honored Art Students League of New York and was awarded first prize at the UNESCO International Art Competition held in Paris for her “The Epic”, a fountain that was later chosen to be exhibited at the Artifex Cultural Center on the French Riviera.

Ms. Jacoby spent most of her time in Rome and the United States and devoted her entire life to her art and that of her fellow artists. Aside from creating and exhibiting her works in galleries and museums all over the globe, she is dedicated to promoting the artwork of other talented painters and sculptors. As the official coordinator for the 1999 edition of the International Art Festival in Malaysia Zaklin worked side by side with artists and curators from all over the world to convey a message that she has always embraced and defended: Art should be at the service of the people – a bridge connecting cultures that stretches beyond the boundaries of political and religious beliefs. In her decades-spanning career, Zaklin Jacoby has consistently analyzed what she defines as the “echoes of the soul” – the universal fascination with the journey of our own lives. Her spirituality is translated into colors, veining, and nuances that invite spectators to look closely and engage in an odyssey of their own.

The recipient of over 60 awards, Ms. Jacoby’s work has been featured in over 300 solo and group exhibitions throughout the world.
